"my why"
Ageless Mobility exists because of one incredible woman: my grandmother, Millie Cruzat. She lived to 94 years old and could still do the splits until age 92. A legendary figure in her own right, Millie was a professional dancer in New York City, rising to fame as part of the first all-Black Broadway show Shuffle Along. She later became a beloved instructor at Beethoven Elementary School and, at age 89, joined the faculty of Chicago Contemporary Dance Theater. In 1983, she opened Millie Cruzat’s Total Fitness Center, a space dedicated to health, strength, and community.

Millie was more than just a dancer—she was a pioneer. She was honored as a HistoryMaker, had a street named after her, was featured multiple times on ABC News, and her life is preserved in the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. In 2021, she received the Cultural Hero Award for her lasting impact on the arts and wellness.

To me, though, she was Grandma Millie—the woman who raised me on daily stretches, fruit before breakfast, gallons of water, 5-mile walks, and always taking the stairs. She taught me that mobility is the secret to aging well and living long. From the age of 3, we stretched together in her living room. That’s where it all began.

When she passed, I was devastated—but I also knew that continuing her mission was part of my purpose. Ageless Mobility is how I share her timeless lessons with the world. It’s about movement, confidence, posture, and preventing illness through the simple, powerful act of daily care. It’s more than a brand. It’s her legacy, and I’m here to carry it forward.

Meet Aliya Brooks Aliya Brooks is a NASM-certified stretching and mobility coach, wellness educator, and the founder of Ageless Mobility—a brand rooted in legacy, longevity, and movement. She launched the brand in 2020 alongside her grandmother Millie, showcasing three generations (herself, Millie, and her mother) stretching together in their living room. What began as a way to share Millie’s timeless routines turned into a movement centered around mobility, posture, and generational wellness.

With a background in Pre-Med, 11 years of gymnastics, 10 years of dance, and lifelong firsthand training with her grandmother, Aliya blends science and soul to teach people of all ages how to move better, feel stronger, and live longer. She began leading stretch classes on her college campus with plans for Millie to co-teach at Spelman College, and now continues her legacy through virtual and in-person sessions.

Aliya also shares wellness lifestyle content across her YouTube channel and social media—where she’s grown a community of over 100K followers combined. From mobility routines and posture tips to daily habits that support healthy aging, her content empowers others to take control of their well-being. She recently expanded Ageless Mobility with a line of cold-pressed juices designed to support gut health, inflammation relief, skin clarity, and energy—tying back to the whole-body approach her grandmother always lived by.

Aliya’s mission is to carry forward Millie’s legacy and help others build a life rooted in movement, confidence, and mindful wellness—because aging well should feel good.
